Let's Pick Some Actors
3/24/14 - Let's pick some actors:
So we met during the regular class time and were discussing who we should cast and where to go in the future. At times everyone threw their opinions out there, but a lot of what was going on seemed to be dictated by Nick Lomauro. Everyone seemed pretty tired that day. The general conclusion we came to is as follows:
Brandon- Reed
Canon- David
Katherine - make up artist
Ava- corey
Mallory- PA
Skyler- Writer
Need:
Kip- potential Chris Kelley, Riley
Leslie- Pete Johanns possibly
Other writers:
Nick
Tyler
Tentatively Monday. Rehearsal times before actual shoots in future. So they can learn about each other and get familiar.

Let's Start a Journal
3/19/14 - Day one of post-reminding us that we need to keep journal:
It started off like any other day, but it was different. My first task, was to hang up a sign at Studio-D telling people auditioning to go to room 279. Once that task was completed I made my way up to 279 myself. Chris was putting the camera on the tripod, so I did what had to be done. I got the 24-70mm lens out. Once he had the camera situation under control I put the lens on in a timely fashion. And now the waiting game.
We put on "Tuesday's Gone" radio on Pandora to pass the time. Some great hits like Freebird, Knocking on Heaven's Door, and Can't You See played early on.
We had four people come to audition which was both underwhelming and at the same time fine. The four that came to audition did a great job at acting from what I heard. I was outside the room telling people to wait if other were inside.
Fortunately, I've seen three of the people that auditioned that day act prior to the audition and have a really good idea of what they can bring to the table. One of them I had even directed myself. So if they make the cut then that would be good since the actor-director relationship is already there.
The last audition I was able to see from inside the room, since Nick and I switched sports. I was reading with Alec and our potential actor. While I couldn't keep too much eye contact with him, since I was reading I couldn't see what he was physically doing, but I could hear him. His voice sounded perfect for the role of Reed.
Concluding that audition it was time to break everything down and move on with the night. I'd say it was successful due to the talent it brought in, the only thing I wish could have changed was the amount of people that we auditioned.
